Save Time at the Grocery Store

[ad_1]

One place you can save time is in the grocery store. If you use a folder with sheet protectors and recipes in it, you will have a good supply of recipes to choose from. If you’re stuck for recipes, always ask friends or older ladies for their favorite healthy home-cooked meal recipes. It will give you the boost you need.

When you get ready to go grocery shopping make a list with:

14-16 meals I want to fix

What I need for those meals

When you have this list in your hand you know that when you come home you will have all the ingredients you need to make those 14-16 meals. This will save time in the store because you won’t be trying to make all kinds of decisions about what to cook because all those decisions will have already been made!

You’ll also save time shopping by doing most of your shopping around the outer aisle of the grocery store. This is where you will find fresh vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, and bread. If you find yourself spending a lot of time wandering through the middle of the grocery store, you are probably buying a lot of processed foods with ingredients you can’t pronounce.

This last tip is pretty simple, but well worth mentioning. Consider the time of day that you are doing your grocery shopping. If you’re shopping on Saturday or Sunday or in the afternoon or early evening, you’re probably using more time to do what you could do during a less busy time. If you can shop in the morning or after the sun has gone down, you’ll find that there are less people in the store. Then you will be getting through the aisles and check out quicker and on to doing other things that you enjoy more than going grocery shopping.
