Neer Dose Recipe – A Simple and Delicious South Indian Crepe

Neer Dose is a popular and authentic South Indian crepe made with rice batter. It is easy to make and perfect for a light breakfast or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Soak the rice in water for at least 3 hours.
  2. Drain the water and grind the rice to a smooth batter using a blender or a grinder.
  3. Add salt and water to the batter to get a thin and runny consistency.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan or a tawa on medium heat.
  5. Grease the pan with a little oil.
  6. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin crepe.
  7. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to curl up and the surface looks cooked.
  8. Gently remove the neer dose from the pan and serve hot with chutney or sambar.
