[ad_1]

You’re playing as Kiryu Kazuma in Yakuza 0 on PlayStation 4 (PS4), halfway into Chapter 1: Bound by Oath. Another hard boss battle against Daisaku Kuze, one of the lieutenants of the Dojima Family, and immediately after that you’ll meet your Brawler trainer Bacchus.

Then, some street fight going on, Bacchus asks you to observes this individual, named Kamoji on how he approaches the fight. During the fight, that weaving quicksteps moment inspires you to another new battle style, known as the Rush Style.

As Kiryu unleashes the Rush Style, you’re covered in purple-ish vibes. Your moves and attacks becomes faster and your quicksteps becomes ultra quick, evading from the enemy’s attack.

During battle, you can inflict more hits which have lesser impact. Some ultra fast combos would leave the enemy in the state of being stunned. That’s all sounds great, bearing in mind that for every quicksteps consumes Heat meaning you’re less likely to seize opportunity to perform the Heat Finisher, by pressing Triangle.

Surrounding by enemies, whether from the Yakuza, Dojima, Men In Black or any kind of thugs. Punches, kicks and weapons will be thrown for you to weave at, by pressing L1 button, followed by a quick counterattack with the press of Triangle button. Sadly, while the enemies get the fun at throwing weapons, you won’t be able to grab, throw enemies or pick up weapons, with the press of Circle button.

Okay, now we’ve know the basics of Rush Style fighting. Kamoji will teach you five lessons for training at the Shichifuku Parking Lot in Kamurocho, Tokyo, Japan. Under a condition that you’ll need to pay for matches in which a win earns 1.5 times the amount being put. The rule is simple under a timing condition, to avoid being knocked to the ground in a one-on-one sparring battle.

The Five Lessons to perfect your Rush Style Battle

Swallow Spirit

You’ll unlock this after dodging, by pressing L1, from Onishi for a time limit of 60 seconds. The trick here is to press X in time with enemy attacks to build up the Heat Gauge.

Damage Weaving

The second lesson, you’ll be evading from Sugiyama for a time limit of 60 seconds. Sugiyama is much faster and direct so timing of your dodge is absolute essential here. After finishing this sparring, you’ll be rewarded with a new move, Damage Weaving, by pressing L1 or X when hit by an enemy attack to perform a weaving move and dodge out of the way.

Floating Re-Guard 1

The third lesson, you’ll face a brute named Endo for 60 seconds. You’ll need to use L1 for weaving and pressing X for quicksteps to dodge from his attacks. Once the time is up, you’ll learn the Floating Re-Guard 1 by pressing L1 after your guard is broken to move away and put up your guard again.

Counter Quickstep

The fourth lesson, you’ll apply the same drill against Hidaka, who wields a katana in his hands. Quickstepping, by double tap X button, is absolute essential to dodge from his katana for the entire 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, you’ll be rewarded with Counter Quickstep by holding R1 to enter a fighting stance, then press Circle in time with an enemy’s attack which let’s you evade and switch places with the enemy.

Essence of Relentless Barrage

The final lesson of Masters Rush Style training, you’ll apply the same drill against Nagano, who’ll be holding a gun with high health bar. Anticipate his shots for evasion using Quickstep, by double tap X, will be the key to victory. You’ve now learned the Essence of Relentless Barrage by pressing Triangle near a frightened enemy. Quite useful to exploit a gap in the enemy’s defenses to unleash a combo attack.

Lastly, you’ll face three shady men, Hashimoto, Kabu and Abe. Use all the Rush Style moves that you’ve learned for this final boss battle. You’ll find Hashimoto the trickier enemy as he likes to do the somersault slam.

So, that’s all on the Punchout Artist training and you’ll be rewarded 200 million yen with the Completion Points – Learn all of Kamoji’s moves. Watch Kiryu’s rush style in action in Yakuza 0 walkthrough.
